Arbitrary Analogue Event Chain Adaptation Fatigue is the occurrence of destabilizing unpredictable events when the foreplan is adapted excessively and the events diverge from any attempt to predict the post-present outcome. Chaotic events are particularly prone to this type of fatigue.

Non resident artificial intelligence where the consciousness is housed in an Artificial person (AP), is ship or vehicle based

Often abriviated to AP, artificial persons are primarily manufactured by Microtech Universal Systems Afd. and is the term for an anthropomorphic machine. APs are typically utilised as a substrate for an ambulatory AI, but also have been known to be a successful substrate for emergency human re-integration. (Note this can only be by request or prior written permission, unless there are exceptional circumstances, then human integration into an AP substrate may be considered, while a DNA re-grow is being undertaken, if tank space is not available or re-integration is required immediately, before the six day growing and verification period is completed.)

The latest advances in materials technology have been incorporated into the new S series AP. This model is currently under testing evaluation in extreme field work tests. It may interest the reader to know that two of the 180 S series Aps were used to realise both Susche Ditraine's Sender mindstate and the Mungo consciousness just prior to the destruction of the City Class ship, Saint Mungo. The data capture from the extreme field workout resulting from these unconventional mindstate embodiments lead to vast improvements in the S Series carapace design and the experimental model was upgraded prior to launch. The revised integument redefines the title "battle hardened" but Microtech still confidently claim that AP machines have their delicate internal components fully protected by a two millimetre, conformable lamina of poly-oxy-cadmium silicone. 

This new patented material has the advantage of an automatically variable Young's Modulus (E). Further it has two isomeric states, the majority of the body is covered in the case hardened isomer, while the face and hands, are soft and warm to the touch. 

The molecular structure of the main body coating material has a limited degree of viscoelastic response to applied force, which means that to the gentle touch it is compliant, but when exposed to more aggressive stimuli it becomes instantly and proportionately more resilient. 100 million people live on the colonised asteroid now called the Ark. The one time Ceres dwarf planet originally discovered centuries ago in 1801, was towed from the asteroid belt and placed into a stable Earth orbit of approximately 130,000 km from the Earth's surface. (incept 2121 - ) Ambulatory AI artificial person (AP) with human level intelligence. Arkil is one half of the City Class Saint Mungo Retrieve and Repatriate pair crew. Arkil joined Colonel Gundel Haan in 2127 to assist in the new Retrieve and Repatriate (R&R) that Haan helped pioneer. Arkil worked with Gundel on over 200 R&R runs. In 2200 he was officially translated into a human substrate courtesy of a governmental program aimed to increase the uptake on syncretistic technology to replace the more traditional implant and bring the populations slowly into line with the Co-Lantsk approach to biological augmentation. In 2200 Arkil formally joined Mukarne L. Grish's new collaborative coalition Co-Lantsk government that had been established in the vacuum left after the Central Processing incident which had resulted in the total collapse of the previous government.

Highly complex foreplan developed by Anima-amah, Constructador of the Upper House, to recover the information on how to construct a strong force weapon that could be used to strengthen negotiations with the Co-Lantsk Visitors in the event that the Visitors prove to be more technologically advanced than the Earthish civilization.

(b. 2042 d. 2097 ) Famous for not believing in the concept of back-ups, Maxima was the Protector and Primate Advisor Pursuivant to the first Machine Intelligence (MI) Upper Governance House from 2083 to 2097, having been elected by his peers in 2083. He held the post until his untimely and permanent death in an accidental rock fall whilst acting as the guest of honour opening the first inner atrium of the newly in inaugurated Ark colony. He showed his support for the Ark development at a crucial stage of the development of the Ark project when there was still a strong possibility of fully colonising the Moon. 

He raised serious concerns about the viability of the Moon colonisation project after the dramatic failure of an expensive project which had attempted to flood the Moon's Mare Tranquillitatis using impact of a hydrated comet, slowed and redirected by sequential pulse weapon detonations. His outspoken statements and support for the Ceres project to capture, manoeuvre, position and develop the dwarf planetoid into what is now known as the Ark put a definitive end to the extended financial support of the Luna Settlement knonw as Nueva Doma, diverting much needed funds at a crucial time to the Ark experimental colony. His wise insights and determined support for the Ceres project is widely believed to have been instrumental in the success of the whole Ceres expansion scheme, and thus the flourishing colony the Ark is today.

A type of a matter distortion fatigue resulting from the stresses of high (C+) velocity flight in multi-dimensional mode. Initially the i-space shell was thought to be free of the constraints of the Einsteinian Universe, enabling a theoretically unlimited translation speed. Ships were designed to move within i-space at great speed by making minute translations within the confines of a Realspace bubble, which is stretched within i-space much faster than the speed of light as measured in Realspace. Initial engine array and energy pump developments seemed to bear this out with every new model bringing increasing performance. Journey times to the nearest stars shrank from weeks to days to hours, and as a result more distant suns became within reach of the new technology. 

Then the accidents started to happen. The first few were not correlated with any coherent problem, after all, early space exploration was a dangerous thing and accidents were frequent. But completely by chance some academic studies being carried out by a small group of Machine Intelligencia (MIs)s trying to prove themselves worthy of Senate Membership, showed that there was a growing body of evidence that failures were due to more than just normally expected hazard losses. Their work uncovered a basic limitation to i-space translation; if a high enough speed is attained or high speed is maintained for long periods, the fabric of space within the captive bubble is damaged irreparably. For the duration of the trip, the 3space bubble is the ship's entire universe and any fragmentation, or clumping, Atomic Sinter Creep (or ASC) whilst not detectable while the ship is in transit, immediately causes a catastrophic integrity failure once the bubble collapses back into Realspace and the bubble contents are reintroduced into the real universe. Debris from the annihilation is extremely dangerous and highly unstable rendering the local spatial area utterly unapproachable for centuries. 

Distortion half-life is unknown. A number of directives have resulted from these discoveries, which amongst others are as follows: 
i) Ship speed is limited, although accidents continue to happen so clearly speed limits are regularly flouted. 
ii) Collapsing out of i-space must occur at least 0.1 light year (CY) from habitable but uninhabited zones and 0.2 CYs from inhabited zones, so that if spatial integrity does occur the loss is minimised. 
iii) Weapons developed to use ASC and coerced spatial integrity failure, so called strong force weapons have been banned. 
iv) A Retrieve and Repatriate service was set up to support the growing colonisation programme.

(b. 1963, d.2172) Developed i-space theory whilst working on the development of Unified Field mathematics. Initially built a series of complex theories to account for the hidden mass of the Universe, originally called dark matter. Shell space theory predicted the existence of concentric space time shells. The first shell outside our own physical real-space universe was arbitrarily designated i-space after the imaginary number set. The subsequent discovery of further shells were then designated by subsequent letters of the alphabet. i-space was discovered in 2056 by Dr. Alexander Mortimer and j-space by Dr. William Charles a few years later in 2059.

Classically trained as a medical doctor in LondonPrime. In his fifties, Martek moved to the Northern American continent what was then known as the United States. WHile in the US he built up a considerable body of work and authored numerous papers as a professor in the area of human aging and went on to be one of the founders of Altos Labs, a biotech firm focussed on reversing aging and heavily funded by the Amazon entrepreneur, Jeff Bezos, in the early 21st century. 

He was 79 years old when he was enrolled as trial subject into their Cellular Reprogramming Project. The project showed incredible results and over the next decade Martek's biological age reversed by twenty years and he was moved onto the newly established senolytic therapy that was being developed to combat aging by clearing the body of its senescent cells, which were then thought to be the cause of aging and many age-related illnesses. In the early days of retroaging although many subjects chose to push back to a biological age (now called circa age, to distinguish it from actual birth age) of roughly mid thirties, Martek, chose to remain at a circa age of 50, as he felt that that gave him the look and gravitas of experience that would benefit his career and help him establish his role as the chief executive officer of what was now called Altos-Martek Labs.

Note: Although, since the 2130's, circa age has had little bearing on how individuals are perceived and judged, Martek has continued to keep his iconic circa 50s look. 

Martek married in 2085 and had a son although both were permanently killed in a boating accident while on holiday on an island in the Earthish Pacific.

Not much is known about him until he was selected for an off world program to study the preCambrian rainforest on the second planet of the red giant T15. The Mungo-Gundel-Arkil retrieve and repatriate discovered him as the sole living survivor of the Setright attack. Although The R&R team had high hopes that he would be able to assist them in their investigations, once he regained consciousness, it became clear that he had severe retrograde amnesia and was unable to help in the R&R team's early investigation into the attack that ended the Setright just before the T15 supernova.

Martek developed a strong friendship with Arkil and was a great support to Arkil as he transitioned into a human form modality. Market currently works in an agency based in Ohio dealing with all aspects reintegration and the sending infrastructure.

Painter known for his classically modern deconstructionist work, was selected by the judges from over ten thousand human and multimodal sentient applicants to create a new work in synthetic oil using only one word as the stimulus as part of the Nineteenth Post Present Logical Event Chain Olympian Games. As its entry in the competition, the machine intelligence (MI), Eventual Brother bid with a foreplan that predicted not only the final work, but every brushstroke that Sigmund used to create it.

Located at the geometric centre of the Ark, the roughly spherical atrium hall is over two kilometres in diameter and is hollowed out of the solid rock at the core of the Ark. It houses the Central Processing Unit, a spherical mirror finish deveice which is suspended using gravity compensation and invisiable field effectors in at the centre of the Hall. The Processing Hall can only be reached by a somewhat antiquated monorail and all wayways, steps and paths within the great Hall are totally transparent quartz or effector field only surfaces.

The Central Processing Unit, is a spherical mirror finish device suspended using gravity compensation and invisiable field effectors in at the centre of the Central Proccessing Hall, itself positioned at the centra of the Ark. The Central Processing Unit is the localised home of the Senate, and their confluence with RealSpace and where they sometimes choose to sit in Massive Presence, or provide real space access for the general public to their machinations. The Processing Hall can only be reached by a somewhat antiquated monorail and then in order to reach the Central Processing Unit, each visitor must take what is termed a pilgrimage down a kilometre of fully transparent quartz and effector-only stairs.

The CLM slogan "Have you been saved today?" caught on as an ironic advertising message, a throwback to a bygone religious age and was based on the fallacy that "sending" a quantum imprint of an AI enhanced (implanted) mind and then using it to re-integrate in a regrow of the terminated body was a viable way to survive corporeal death,. In fact the practise often resulted in a poor outcome. The CLM grew from a few settlements into to a large conglomeration of deregulated urbanisation sprawling over thousands of square kilometres and now enclosed by the Division Wall. Set up 2096, TeC Sci became the main technological driving force of the 22nd Century. Largely a product of the Machine Intelligence's structured way of attacking problems and the initiative resulted in the development of the first commercial use of the Energy Pump. The Energy Pump is widely believed to be responsible for knowledge explosion and colonisation of our segment of the Galaxy.

Seventeen ultra fast plus-quamic excognata machines that are aiming to control the flow of information into the Prime Elective and thus the rest of the sitting Government about the Co-Lantsk visit and development a super weapon that will provide a stronger bargaining position with the Visitors when they arrive. (Incept 2065 - ) The Courier is the first known example of Co-Lantsk technology believed to have appeared on Earth some time in the second half of the 21st century. The Courier is a machine intelligence level, deep-space capable offensive unit with the ability to facilitate localised plane abstraction, temporal multi-minute retortion of the existence level multilarity with the ability to offset the dynamic plane and create interplane fold inversion pockets. Hardwired to complete its previsioned mission within exacting perimeters. It is housed in and disguised as a late model Megasoft Petite 800 Microsender.

Particular class of 25 to 45 kilometre long spaceships dedicated to exploration of the outer reaches on our galaxy. Due to their extended mission times that are usually measured in decades, each Continental Class ship contains an entire ecosystem habitat capable of autonomous survival indefinitely. Between one and three million residents inhabit each ship, with many being born on board and growing up and living their formative years aboard before coming back to any home colonised planets.

An agglomeration of moons orbiting a rocky planet 25 light years out of earthside that was one of the first places where intelligent exoplanet life was discovered. Initial contact was made just one year after the energy pump was made available for commercial use. The dominant species were found to be subhuman intelligence and spent a large proportion of their waking hours motionless in rock indentations absorbing sunlight which was their main source of nourishment. Their habitats look like large armchairs or couches and the popular media quickly jumped on this visual similarity and coined the phrase couch creature from Corbious Cluster as a derogatory term used when referring to someone who was lazy or couldn't make decisions quickly.

Cullet Puck, is the Earthish name for what is sometimes known (in slang) as glass hockey, is a version of ice hockey played on a frozen silica field with two razor sharp pucks. Now widely played throughout the settled worlds and popular with sports fans everywhere, it is known to have originated on Tsygney "Proud home of Cullet Puck". With the rising popularity and multi-system sponsorship, Cullet Puck has become the the localised name for the sport that was originally called Tgnarshist-Gristleiser.

(b. 2163 - )Network 900 studio's best known roving reporter, often chosen to head up the Network 900 Mobile Unit for in-depth broadcasts off-site. He was most memorably marooned on the Ark for five days in what has become known as the Early Ark System Comms Disruption in January 2200.

Weapon using highly focused beam of high energy electromagnetic pulses, tuned to the frequency of molecular vibrational bonds for a range of materials (synthetic and biological) that disrupts the target at the molecular level, effectively atomising it. Needs a certain degree of intelligence as frequency must be modulated depending on target, but weapon stores a database of over one trillion different target materials. In combat it has been found that the disruption of just one component of any structure is likely to cause destruction of the object. 

Shielding for this type of weapon, relies on an unbroken outer layer of organometallic molecular laminate only microns thick, that is able to remodulate is vibrational molecular bond conformation at a higher delta rate than the aggressive weapon, thus avoiding sympathetic vibration and disruption. Because of this current generation disruptor weapons use multiple channel disruption, reflective concussion and environmental disruption to cause indirect damage.

Designed and maintained by Megasoft, distress beacons are designed to broadcast for at least two to three [sol] decades and sometimes as many as fifty Earthish years across specific reserved bands in real-space, i-space and j-space. Beacon technology has saved countless thousands of lives, as retrieve and repatriate has been known to be positive up to thirty years after a partial termination event. When a retrieve and repatriate responding crew fails to find and disable the beacon at a disaster site, that beacon continues to broadcast, diverting countless other rescue services over the years. An unrecovered but functioning beacon is referred to as a "Bogus". The bogus database names some two million unfound, still broadcasting beacons. Gundel and Arkil only have one bogus to their name, lost at the bottom of a landslide at the Trashwalk East Site.

The inner face of the wall is clad in synthetically grown natural stone. For most of its length the Division Wal is approximately 100 metres high although in places this varies. There is not technical need for the height, as various electronic and subelectronic technologies wouod have been able to achieve the isolating effect at a much reduced cost. However, the wall was erected at a time when the inhabitants want to make more of a statement of intent of their separation from technological advances rather than as a purely physical barrier. As such, Earth remains the theoretical base for a substantial number of resident machine architectures of every level, and for historical reasons continues to be the central information plexus.

Includes the original natural satellite, the Moon, the captured dwarf planet Ceres, known as the Ark or the Rock, orbiting at 130,000 kilometres and tens of thousands of other military, sceintific and domestic constructed satellites of varying sizes.

The Eastern Zone now covers a vast area separated by the Division Wall and accessed only by the Inter-County Subsonic mass transit service running out of Central Nebraska Portwest. The Eastern Zone started out just over a century ago in 2081 as a tiny collection of encampments just a few hundred founders strong as the original home of the Church of the Living Mind. In the early years, the Eastern Zone quickly grew to be a major settlement attracting people from all walks of life who wanted to return to a simpler more individually private way of living. Despite its technological isolation, the Eastern Zone enjoys a high level of commercial success and scores highly by any measure on the life fulfilment axis. 

Only selected authorised stratospheric services may overfly the Eastern Zone. The use of implants and almost all other biotech enhancements are restricted for visitors entering the Zone and expressly prohibited for anyone seeking permanent residence. The use of general field effectors is also prohibited with the boundaries of the Zone.

With gravity compensation and limited deep space interstellar capability all controlled by a resident AI, the Setright was the home of 78 remote location scientists and support staff studying the preCambrian forest on the second planet of the T15 system about 1,000 light years out of Earthside. The main science facility was a terrapin twenty by thirty metres in plan with a five metre headspace arranged into a number of labs and sub spaces. A ring of units completely surrounding it comprised the living quarters, recreations spaces, dining and storage.

The Setright was supplied with High-Loader two support vessels, Stream and Pebble. 

The Setright was destroyed in the T15 supernova in 2200, in which despite any post blast trace, High-Loader Stream was assumed lost. 

Concentric spacetime shells discovered in the mid 21st century. Designated as i-space and then j-space as the two higher shells surrounding standard vector based three dimensional Euclidean space. Shells in shell space might be imagined to be concentric, but in fact the term shell space is a bit misleading as they are not actually concentric like the skins of an onion, but coexist within the same ultra-space multiverse fabric in higher and higher dimensional realms.

A family holiday had turned tragedy when the craft suffered disruptive core failure and crashed onto the surface of Io, Jupiter's ice moon. The party (a single family unit) were all instantly partially terminated, but were fully backed-up. The re-integration did not go as planned, when the Senders of two twin children were accidentally mixed up and re-integrated into the wrong twin. A full report into the events that lead to the disasterous reintgration is avalable for study, or to be used in restricted circumstances for training .

Skywatch comprises more than fifty fractional machine intelligence partitions that although are spread throughout the colonised territories are focussed on the Earthish neighbourhood and the Ark's authorised inbound and outgoing vector paths. Thorough background checks wih wider search parameters uncovered sigthings of her in the Eastern Zone suggest that she appeared to be asio-pacific circa 25 year old human. She later appeared in the records as a sender terminate rescued from the attack on the Setright Science Facility, R&Red by the Saint Mungo and its Haan Sinter pair crew. Susche Detraine proporting to have had the role of Senior biologist on the Setright, and dur to the fact that she was carrying a functioning sender and her body was damaged beyond repair, was vitualised into an experimental artificial person substrate. However, subsequent interviews with anyone connected with her various appearances resulted in largely inconclusive outcome, with few commentators able to remember ever having seen her.

A growing conerbation in the northern hemisphere of Tsygney at the edge of the cullet tundra. Despite its remote location both on the planet of Tsygney and nearly 900 light years out of Earthside, Tarin is becoming known as a trading post as the colony line exapnds further beyond it across the main segment of the galaxy.

Cereal spirit, varying in strength with each batch, but anywhere between 100 and 130 proof bourbon-like drink distilled from a mash of the edible parts of the indigenous zerogreens that grow in natural abundance in the cullet tundras of Tsygney's northern hemisphere. The natuurally thick zerogreen fluid imparts an intense flavor with the high alcohol content carrying more of the flavor compounds, leading to rich caramel, and Earthish vanilla taste with strange almost oaky notes. The thick richer texture combined with the high alcohol contnet gives the drink an intensely warming mouthfeel while also delivering a pleasing bite. Also known as Tolparner is one of the dominant languages on Tsygney. The way it is spoken sounds strange to human ears, but is within the audible range. Due to the moderate level of commercial Earthish traffic passing the various Tsygney way stations many educated Tsygney consider it a necessity to be able to speak good Earthish, known to them as Altarish. The Tsygneii vocal tract configuration is much the same as for humans with some slight differences. They have a slightly larger tongue and a narrower oral cavity than humans. As a result, there tends to be more contact between the tongue and the roof of the mouth. This gives their spoken language a clicky quality and means that in their English some coronal fricatives (i.e. made with the tongue) can be pronounced as affricates (e.g., t’th, t’s, t’z, t’sh) especially word initially. They also have a narrower nasal cavity and thinner nostrils (perhaps having evolved for protection in extreme weather conditions) which means that their nasal sounds (n, m, ng) can be produced with a slight whistle (although this is not possible to convey in written script but consistent with other changes). The Tsygnian face is much less mobile than the Earthish human face and can appear wooden, but generally their language makes up for the impassive nature of their features with a wider intonational range with a range of more subtle emotional distinctions being expressed in speech pitch (perhaps also to compensate for lack of visible facial expressions because the face is often covered outside). So the language/s spoken Tsygney are clicky and whistley with extreme pitch shifts.

There are vast differences between English and Tolparner grammar. Tsygney is a non-configurational language with relatively free word order. Grammatical roles (e.g. subject, object, direct object etc.) are marked by inflections. Subjects are marked by a word initial inflection (eh-) and objects by a word final inflection (e.g., direct –ah, indirect -oh). In English grammatical case is marked by word order (e.g., Subject –verb-object). They mostly get English word order right and mainly remember to drop inflections.

Barman in the "Lounge of the second Horizon", which is wrongly translated from Tolparner as "The Horizon of the Second Lounge". Toutoung's bar is located in Tarin, a growing conurbation in Tsygney's northern hemisphere. His partner and given pairing is Trant. Trant is renowned for her delicious cooking, which itself has spread the fame of The Second Horizon bar beyond the home planet and as far afield as neighbouring systems.

Town Class Merchant Vessel, 250 metre workhorse of the merchant trading fleet, heavy lift and moderate speed, plus affordable price, have made this a very successful craft. Notable craft of this type include the Sebrina, and the Angelo. The Sebrina was implicated in the Setright Science Complex destruction, although the ship has never caught and tried against that accusation. Angelo is perhaps the most notorious Town Class Vessel, because despite its small size and limited capabilities the TCMV Angelo saved the population of an entire planet by landing on an asteroid that was on a direct hit collision course for what was thought to be a termination event impact and was able to alter the path of the asteroid using its full power engine array to nudge the asteroid on to a different path which passed the planet harmlessly with no loss of life.

The retrieve and repatriate rescue mission was the result of an earthquake and the beacon that had been automatically set off by earlier tremours was initially buried under a massive landslide. The R&R run was one of teh Staint Mungo's first with the Haan and Sinter pair crew and due to the heavy headcount there was not enough time to dig the beacon out. Catastrophic after shocks opened an enormous crater which flooded to form a new ocean with the beacon at the bottom submerged under a kilometer of silt two kilometers underwater. Haan and Sinter planned a number of recovery mission but were not able find the time to retrieve the beacon. The beacon was finally deactivated in early 2200 by persons unknown ,and anonomously shipped to Calimer Martek with instructions for it to be delivered to Arkil Sinter. Its current position is not recorder but it is believed to still Be In Arkil Sinter's possession.

Tsygney is also unique in settled sub type one worlds, in that the entire planet has a single main language, Tolp (Tolperner). Gundel lived in a neighbouring system for two years on loan from the Americas Alliance Government as a frontiersman helping development of the locale with the brief of bringing them up to the level required to join the expanding Alliance, although never visited Tsygney itself until 2200. 

Due to the nature of the Tsygney orbit, the surface temperature fluctuates greatly through each diurnal. Night temperatures after the twin setting can dip as low as -140˚ C (-220˚F, 133 K) while after the twin rising midday surface temperatures can rise to 220˚ C (428˚F, 493 K) a swing of 360˚C. Tsygney population is concentrated in what are termed the temperate zones, where there the two periods each day where the air temperature is comfortable are the longest. Tarin is located in the heart of the northern temperate zone.

Skunk works experimental drive propulsion units fitted to the City Class Vessel Saint Mungo to be tested on R&R runs where time is of the essence. The Ultra Max represents a new class of drive unit designed to minimise entropic fabric creep by using a reverse flow bypass to maintain entropic equilibrium between the driven i-space shell and RealSpace. It is postulated that the Ultramax is the first stpe in creating an engine that can drive up into the j-space realm. The first two Ultramax units we sadly lost in the destruction of the Saint Mungo during the Emerald Isle R&R run.

Columbine committed (permanent) suicide after losing the second fully predicted game. Columbine was a great thinker and he wrote extensively about what he then knew to be his impending death and the reasons for what he saw as the necessity of it after he realised that the advent of the machine intelligences' capabilities to accurately predict the future (or post-present as it has become known), was the end of what he then saw as the illusion of free form conjecture or independant action.

Up until his second chess game loss, where each move had been predicted in advance by Infinite Father, Columbine had felt that what separated the human biological brain from the vastly superior machine intelligence consciousness was the creative opportunity independent creative thought that although influenced by our past actions and individual histories, remained under our executive control. Once he realised that this was actually an illusion and there was no such thing as free will he felt that there was nothing left to live for.

Ironically, Infinite Father also predicted Columbine's death and believiung that his suicide would we a tragic loss it secretly took a last save mindstate capture during the course of the second chess game. After Columbine's death Infinite Father made it known that the last save existed and that it would be possible to authorise a regrow and then reintegrate Columbine. The Columbine estate was divided and took the matter to court. The case was never satisfactorily resolved and Umar Columbine's mindstate has remained in stastis for over a century. It is unclear whether or not the files will be deleted at somepoint.

A colloquial nickname for an immature naborn is on account of their tendency to cling to the outside of field suits with their eyes shut when personnel are working extravehicular in hard vacuum especially on asteroid field study work. They are harmless but once asleep they can not be dislodged easily. Initially thought to be only have been partially terminated in the T15 supernova due to the fact that a decades old last save backup existed however, analysis of the back up data showed that it was corrupted and had a set date prior to his birth, rendering it null and void and resulting a permanent termination event.

Short stubby grass like plants that have evolved to survive in the range of temperatures seen in Tsygney's northern territories where daily temperature swings of 360˚C have been recorded. Zerogreens have a very tough outer bark-like epidermis layer that secretes a thick waxy-like silicone layer that helps trap the day's heat inside the plant. Active transport of an antifreeze fluid circulates round the plant's vascular system, up and down each plant stem and through the root system where there are specialised heat generating cells which warm the fluid. The circulation thus prevents the exposed parts of the plant from freezing even when temperatures drop as low as -120˚ C in extreme cases. In the day when temperatures rise the root cells recharge with the heat of the sun and the same fluid movement from the hot leaves to the now cooler roots, helps keep the plant cool and the waxy cuticle stops the zerogreen from drying out.
